My news & a protein shake

Okay, most important news first. Let me just tell you how amazing this protein powder is. MyProtein Cookies and Cream flavor. So dang good!

I mixed together in my Nutribullet:

It tastes just like ice cream! No funky "protein powder" flavor. No chunks. Just pure awesomeness in a cup :)

I am dying to try out their other flavors - Strawberry Cream & Cinnamon Roll? Yes, please! My favorite part about their products so far is the lack of "protein powder" flavor. If it tastes artificial, I probably won't like it. I can safely say this product tastes GOOD.

I can't wait to try and bake with it! You better believe that cookies & cream protein pancakes will be in the works ASAP. I will keep you all posted on my progress! In the mean time, do yourself a favor and check out MyProtein's awesome selection of protein powders and other products

I totally recommend navigating their website using Your Goals. Very helpful for product selection based off of your unique goals. I've always believed that whether it's eating, training or shopping for supplements you need to focus on your goals and preferences to get results.

{ALSO: use code EXCLUSIVE to get 25% off your first order!}

{Ignore the post workout sweat/crazy hair.}
Myprotein shake was the perfect recovery on this hot So-Cal day. WAIT, What's that on my left hand?

 {My exciting news}

It has been a crazy busy time planning a wedding, buying our first home, finishing my degree and working full time but I am so excited for the future! The big day is September 19, 2015 which is only 6 months away. AHH! It will be here before I know it but I am trying to savor this time as much as I can.

Any wedding planning tips from you ladies out there?

A little reminder

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd drop in and let you know that I'm still alive :)

 I have been swamped lately to say the least. A few major life changes happened (I will share the exciting new soon!) that has taken up a huge chunk of my time but I am still here!

I wanted to re-share with you some truths I wrote in a blog awhile back. After the holidays I think a lot of people set goals for themselves at the start of the new year. And by now, some people may be struggling with staying on track or feel frustrated because they have fallen off course. Here is an excerpt from a post I wrote a while back that I think might help you with your perspective. As always, if you feel the need for individual help please contact me. You are not alone. Ever! I am always here for guidance and support! I hope this will serve as a healthy reminder for you that it's about progress, not perfection...

There is no time for excuses, only improvements. Own these 5 truths and become unstoppable:

Truth 1: No one is going to do this for you
  • Sorry, but there is no "app" for this. There is no "easy button." You could hire a personal trainer, a running coach, or a personal chef but it doesn't matter. You're either going to do it or you're not. Here's a little hidden truth about motivation: the sweetest successes are from personal perseverance.
Truth 2: You are where you're at
  • You are not the same person you were 5 years ago. Don't dwell on how you got to where you're at. I don't care where you're coming from or how many times you've failed in the past: IT DOESN'T MATTER. You are where you're at. Pick yourself up. If you want this, you will do it. You will make time. You will plan, struggle, fight and do.
Truth 3: Don't aim for perfection, aim for improvement
  • How many people do you know that are so-called 'perfect'? Small improvements build confidence in yourself. Utilize that confidence to fuel you. Progress is the sum of small efforts day in and day out and progress is a sure way to success.
Truth 4: You cannot change the cards you are dealt, only how you play the hand
  • You cannot change the fact that your neighbor eats dessert every night but doesn't gain a pound. You cannot change your genetics. There is absolutely no point in pointing out what others can and can't do. How is that going to get you to your goals? It's not. Focus on you and how to be the best that you can be.
Truth 5: No one has ever said this wasn't worth it
  • No one completes a marathon and says, "wow that was a waste." No one defeats the demon of emotional eating and says, "man I miss that guy."No one wants to go back to the start. This doesn't mean that they don't have set backs, it just means that they have the desire to keep going after they struggle.
