Epic Fail...Twice

I almost didn't even want to label this as "workout" because I'm so lame today, but I did anyway so I can look back and laugh at myself.

So remember how I said I was going to go on a long 8-9 mile run today? Well it turned into a 10 mile walk. Fail.

It was so hot today. And I wasn't feeling like running... why? I. just. wasn't. No explanation. Yes, I am lame. Yes I did run a little, but 98% was a nice, casual walk (fyi: my "casual walk" is like some people's speed walk. I'm may be small (5'2) but I move my feet pretty dang fast) while I listened to some music and enjoyed the scenery. Oh and I also stopped and got some coffee at the bean

I love coffee. I think my boyfriend would call that the biggest understatement of the century. Coffee ruins my insides due to all my stomach/intestinal issues, but whatevs. Some battles (stomach aches) are just worth it.

Then post run walk I wanted to make a post workout shake, had it all planned out in my head, it was going to be so great. Almond milk, chocolate protein powder and half a banana sounded amazing on this hot California day. But then guess who couldn't find her smoothie cup. (I have one of those Magic Bullet type blenders where it blends straight into a cup so you can just pop it off and go) I looked everywhere for that stupid thing. So this is what I ended up with instead:

Yes, thats a protein somewhat clumpy "chocolate milk". My heart is broken. After I couldn't make my desired smoothie I just threw in the towel for the day and didn't even cut up my cucumber. What was the point?

So to sum up today: I didn't run my 8-9 miles, I walked 10miles and my protein shake turned into protein chocolate milk. You win some you lose some.

Goal for tomorrow: get up at 5:15AM and workout before school. Don't think, just do. We'll see how it goes.
